The discovery trails through the lush rainforest on the 15-acre property provided endless excitement and adventure for our children. From scaling waterfalls to gazing at glowworms in the dark, there was always something new to discover. The pond-side fire pit, lit at our request in the evenings, created the perfect atmosphere for us to bond as a family while roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. It was truly a magical experience that brought us closer together and allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature.
My children wanted even more activities for kids to enjoy.

Like seriously, the bestest thing about it is how they get you outside and into nature. They’ve got these wicked trails that take you through the freakin’ rainforest and you feel like such a badass explorer. And get this, they even have a fire pit by the pond that you can ask them to light up at night! It’s so rad, you can chill there with your friends and have a kickass time. And don’t worry, they’ve got your back if you got any little bros or sisters with you, they keep an eye on those lil devils. So yeah, if you’re into adventure and nature, this place is the bomb!
Okay, so the only thing that could have made this place even better is if they had some more party vibes. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it was hella fun and all, but as teenagers, we’re all about the late-night shenanigans.

Stunning location with beautiful river walks and labeled forest trails including glow-worms. Sensational breakfast options, featuring freshly baked bread and delicious honey. Modern and well-equipped rooms, likely the cleanest I've experienced. The spa and bathtub with forest views were a fantastic bonus. Friendly hosts who go above and beyond to assist.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shower was spacious. The shared kitchen area had all the necessary amenities, and it was convenient to cook on the firepit. The owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating, even providing a filleting station for our freshly caught fish. The location was serene and surrounded by beautiful nature, with plenty of opportunities for walks and relaxation. a great place to disconnect and unwind.
The lack of phone signal and limited wifi was inconvenient, especially when trying to communicate with the outside world. It would have been nice to have better coffee options in the morning, such as lattes or cappuccinos, instead of just instant and plunger coffee.

Absolutely stunning location with beautiful river and walks. Luxurious "camp" feel with amazing homemade breakfast options including fresh bread, honey from on-site bees, and eggs from friendly chickens. Super friendly and helpful owners who provided a tour and even a complimentary upgrade. The apartment was clean and smelled amazing due to the timber. The spa and outdoor bath were awesome, and the views of the bush were jaw-dropping. The owners went above and beyond during the Scallop Festival by offering transportation. The room had excellent facilities and a cozy outdoor living area. The natural pools and treetop bath were unforgettable experiences. The accommodations were beautifully furnished with a comfortable bed, great kitchenette, and fantastic walk-in shower. Countless relaxation spots throughout the rainforest property, with options for both relaxation and adventure. Perfectly located to explore nearby attractions. The owners were attentive and kept everything in perfect shape.

We had a fantastic weekend retreat in the middle of nature. The bush walks were amazing, with swing bridges and rope climbs, and we even got to see glowworms at night. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and provided river shoes for exploring. The tree top bath house and night sky spa were a highlight, offering a truly unique and relaxing experience. The rooms were spacious and homely, with natural NZ products provided. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with a selection of delicious spreads, fruits, yogurt, and a freshly baked loaf of wholemeal bread. it was a perfect romantic getaway.
While the location was tranquil and secluded, it did require a bit of adventure to get there. The drive down 309 and the access road with the creek crossing added an element of excitement, but may not be suitable for those who prefer easy access.
